The Department of Biological and Medical Sciences offers a research-led, dynamic and supportive environment in which to study, along with the unique benefits of the city of Oxford, a centre for scientific research and learning.
We offer a range of flexible undergraduate and postgraduate courses alongside a growing number of research opportunities across a wide range of areas including plant and animal biology, biomedical science, cell and molecular biology, conservation and the environment.

Brookes celebrates Universities Week 2012
The third annual Universities Week campaign - aimed to increase awareness of the varied role of the UK’s universities - takes place from April 30 to May 7 this year.
Amazing Acts: Brookes set for week-long residency at Pegasus
Drama, science, music, film and creative writing are coming together in a week-long showcase of ‘Amazing Acts’ when Oxford Brookes takes over Oxford theatre Pegasus.
